Dumfries House, Ayrshire

Patrick Baty advised on the Estate colour for Dumfries House

Dumfries House is a Palladian country house in Ayrshire, Scotland. It is located within a large estate, around 3 km west of Cumnock. It was built in the 1750s by John Adam and Robert Adam for William Dalrymple, 5th Earl of Dumfries.

Patrick Baty advised on the new estate colour at Dumfries House

I was asked to advise on a suitable estate colour that could be used on the external doors on the buildings on the estate. My company Papers and Paints has supplied much of the paint.

Dear Patrick,
Would you be able to tell me what brand and colour of paint was used on the external doors at Dumfries House? The red external doors outwith the main house.
Thank you in advance.

Kind regards
Alison McElrea

Thanks Alison. No, sorry. I have no idea. I made my recommendations and heard nothing more.
