Lee Hall, Virginia USA

Patrick carried out the paint analysis on this house

Lee Hall, Virginia is one of a number of buildings moved to their present location by Christopher Ohrstrom, an expert in early American decorative arts and owner of Adelphi Paperhangings. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The World Monuments Fund.

Chris, a great friend of mine, was a fellow instructor at the courses on early paints that used to be run at the Richard Bennehan House, in Stagville, North Carolina in the 1990s.

Chris asked me to carry out an analysis of the paint on the interior of the house.

Thanks Isabel. I’m afraid that I’m behind in posting new projects as I’m so busy at the moment. However, wait until you see what I’ve been doing in Warwickshire – one of the most exciting rooms that I’ve seen.
