Little Cassiobury – Rev. John Brown

Little Cassiobury - Rev. John Brown

The Earl of Essex is believed to have been the person who commissioned the building of Little Cassiobury (the dower house which still exists in Hempstead Road, Watford). It has recently been confirmed that this house was designed by Lady Elizabeth Wilbraham (posited to have been the first woman architect).

Its great that you are mentioning this house that we are trying to save. If you look closely though you will see it has my watermark on it. It was given to us by the artist, Rev. J. Brown to use in our publications.
It would be helpful if you could mention its source on your site, and if you could stretch to putting a link to our web pages there it would be even better.
