Brunswick Square, Hove

Patrick Baty has helped the Regency Town House Museum for many years

Over the years I have been assisting the Regency Town House with matters concerning paint and colour. On a personal level I have also lent the curatorial team a collection of family letters from 1824-1870, many of which relate to their life in Brunswick Square, in Hove.

No 17 was bought by Edward Polhill in the 1820s and occupied by his family for the next sixty years. The artist Robert Polhill Bevan was born there in 1865.

Edward Polhill. Served on Brunswick Town Commission. He lived at 17 Brunswick Square.
