Fulham Palace

Fulham Palace - Courtyard

Fulham Palace in Fulham, London, at one time the main residence of the Bishop of London, is of medieval origin. It was the country home of the Bishops of London from at least 11th century until 1975.

I have worked in the Palace several times over many years. Initially I was commissioned to carry out paint analysis on the rooms occupied by the Museum of Fulham Palace. In more recent years I have carried out a survey of the decoration on the upper floors of the old Bishop of London’s residence (see photograph below).

The Bishop of London now resides at The Old Deanery.
