Patrick Baty was commissioned to carry out an analysis of the paint on the exterior and interior of the chapel

The Hermon Welsh Independent Chapel was designed by the Revd. Thomas Thomas and built in 1862-63. In style it has a classical, three bay Tuscan pilastered facade under overall pediment.
